Tanzania Glamping Safari Holiday

5/5

Our Rating

  • Rooming

Rooming – If camping  organise a large family tent that you can also stay in. In lodges and hotels try and get interconnecting rooms.

  • Boredom

Boredom – kids do get bored very quickly; it is great therefore to have a private safari so you can return to the accommodation whenever you or the kids want. Don’t forget to bring colouring books and games for the kids in the evening

  • After safari

After safari – the beautiful coastline of Tanzania and the spice islands of Zanzibar and Pemba offer plenty of watersports and outdoor activities for the children.

  • Half Term

Half Term – Consider a short trip in mid-February or mid-October, as you can often benefit from off-season prices and fewer travelers. Ask us about special offers for families and children – these change often and there are often great offers that you can take advantage of.

Camping Safari or Lodge Safari or African Glamping Safari

There are a variety of different ways that you can enjoy your safari adventure in Tanzania and this is the other decision on your Type of Tanzania Safari

We have divided the options into 5 levels –

  • camping safari- This can be either within the National Park or at campsites outside the park using simple 2/3 people tents.  This is not like camping as a child – you have a cook who comes with you on these trips – they cook and wash up for you, as well as providing security for your luggage and putting up your tent.
  • Luxury camping safari– the same as above but staying at private campsites within the park. This requires toilet tents and water etc brought to the site. This is for the true adventurer.
  • Lodge –These safaris use lodges in the tour. These lodges are uusally larger establishments (30+) rooms and can be found inside and outside the park boundary.
  • Tented Camp (aka Glamping) – these Tanzania Safaris use luxury tented camps – these are smaller more personal establishments with usually fewer than 15 rooms. Often you stay in a luxury tent (these are permanent tents with proper furniture) giving that true Out of Africa glamping experience.
  • Mixed – this is our speciality – mixing camping, lodges and tented camps – it keeps the price down and allows for the perfect mix of adventure and luxury.

Tanzania is waiting for you. Seriously. Right now this large, friendly country on the east coast of Africa teems with sharp-toothed animals, cone-shaped volcanoes, baby-blue oceans, and sandy beaches that beg for your wiggling toes, your piercing eyes, and your thumping heart. From joining a tight-knit group of other adventurers to choosing your own adventure with a private tour, it’s your call.
